Christmas Holyday

The last 3 years I’ve spent Christmas with Tanner’s family (hence his last name pun “Lyday” above). This year his fam drove to Colorado and we checked off every part of a perfect Christmas… Steaks, lots of laughs, and lots of SNOW!

We spent the first few days of their Holiday Vacation exploring locally. Since Tanner and I haven’t lived here very long, the touristy things were just as exciting for us to explore.

First, we visited Red Rocks Amphitheatre. It’s still on my bucket list to go to a concert here. It was a beautiful day—look at that rock to sky contrast WOW.

Next up, Tanner’s Mom and I had a girls day with pedicures and shopping. Arapahoe Snappy Nails (my now go-to nail salon thanks to a recommendation by Heather) was having a Holiday Party and they forced us to eat their food once our toenails were dry.

That night, we walked around Parker to get in the Christmas Spirit.

Next year I want to watch them put these lights on the trees because I’m honestly just wondering how they get them up there.

For Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, we drove toward Breckenridge and stayed in our roommate’s family’s cabin in Fairplay, CO (TY Byrne’s!). We walked around Breck and even waited in the cold for the touristy Crepes A La Carte. Everyone picked between Sweet and Savory crepes to go with hot chocolate. Pictured below: a cold Kait with a cinnamon and sugar crepe.

On Christmas, it snowed all 24 hours. Once we were pretty much surrounded, the adventures at the cabin included four-wheeling through fresh pow-pow, packing on all of your clothes to tube/sled down the hill, giving & opening gifts, and of course, spending quality time by the fire or in the hot tub!!!

‘Twas one of my favorite Holidays (or Holydays) so far.

Hoping everyone has been enjoying their breaks spent with loved ones!!!
